Demo with sample data
From 3D model to drawing in under a second.
Engineers spend hours turning finished 3D models into drawings for the floor. Most of that work is routine. This demo draws the sheet from the model, then checks every number against the design.

2 · The drawing, from the model alone
Press “Generate the drawing” to build the sheet.
3 · How long it takes
By hand uses NIST's measured pace for 79 dimensions, sped up 2,000× to fit on screen. Software is the actual time on this part.
An engineer by hand
about 3.3 hours
2.9–3.8 h for 79 dimensions at NIST's measured pace.
Dimensions correct
79 of 79
Every value on the sheet checked against the design. 17 of 17 features found.
Engineer time uses 2.52 minutes per dimension, the average pace in NIST, Hedberg et al., 2016: Skilled staff took 2.2 to 3.1 hours to draw machined parts with 53 to 84 dimensions. It covers drawing time only, not checking or revisions.
What the numbers say
Each figure links to its source. Vendor claims are labeled.
2.2–3.1 h
Time skilled staff took to draw each of three machined parts with 53 to 84 dimensions.
1 missing depth
In the same study, one drawing left off a hole depth. The parts passed inspection, and the whole lot was scrapped.
54%
Share of their time engineers say they actually spend designing.
$50.05/h
US median wage for a mechanical engineer. Mechanical drafters: $34.40.
How it works
- 01
The software reads the 3D model and finds the holes and slots.
- 02
It lays out the views, adds the sizes and hole tables, and fills in the title block.
- 03
A separate check compares every number on the sheet with the design. Engineer time is based on NIST's measured pace.
Good to know
Before you try it on your shop.
Three sample parts we designed. Threads, angled holes, turned and sheet-metal parts come next. On your project, we test it on your own drawings first, and an engineer signs every one.
